Terms of service

Updated 5 November 2026

TAKE IT is a free service for live artists: a track review, a music video treatment, cover art and help with getting the release out. These are the rules we work by.

1. Live music only

We accept tracks written and recorded by a person. Tracks that were fully or largely generated by AI models are not accepted. AI used for mastering, noise reduction, vocal tuning or mixing is fine if you disclose it. We may ask for proof of authorship: live footage, a DAW session screenshot, stems.

2. The rights stay with you

You keep the master rights and the publishing. By sending a track you give us a non-exclusive permission to listen to it and to contact you. If it comes to a release, we ask separately before delivering the track to the platforms.

3. What we promise

To listen to the track, give you an honest review, write a video treatment and design cover options. We do not promise virality, playlist placement, a specific number of streams or income.

4. What you promise

That the track is yours, that you hold the rights to the recording and the lyrics, that you are not presenting someone else's work as your own and that you did not use AI generation against these rules. If rights are violated, we take the release down and pass the information to the platforms.

5. Free beta

The review, the treatment and the cover art are free right now. We may change what is included or set a price later, but submissions already accepted are completed on the terms we agreed with you.

6. Refusing a track

We can decline without giving a reason if the track does not fit by genre, quality, rights or these rules. If the reason is quality, we try to say what to fix.

7. Distributors and affiliate links

The distributors listed on the site are independent services. The contract, the payment and the terms are between you and the distributor, and so is the royalty payout. Some of those links may become affiliate links: today none of them carries an affiliate code, and if that changes, the link will be marked as sponsored and the price you pay will not change. We may receive a commission from the distributor, which never affects which services we recommend.

8. Liability

The service runs “as is” in beta. We are not responsible for decisions made by platforms or stations, for a release being taken down or for lost income. Our liability is limited to the price you paid for the service, which is currently zero.

9. Contact

Questions go through the contact page.
